Mustang Mail is a school-wide postal service. The children can write letters and mail them to any person at Ford Elementary! Our postal workers are students in first through fifth grades. They do an excellent job! We change workers every two weeks, so many students will get the chance to work in our post office.
Students have many opportunities to write letters at school, but sometimes newsworthy events happen at home. If that's the case with your child, please encourage him/her to write a letter at home and bring it to school to be mailed. If you would like to mail a letter to your child through our Mustang Mail service you can! It's easy to do. Just write a letter to your child and the next time you are at school, swing by the Writing Lab (Room 402) and place your letter in our mailbox located just outside of our door. The only requirement is that the letter be placed in an envelope. We have plenty inside the Writing Lab. We also have a special way the envelope needs to be addressed so that it can be properly delivered to the right person. The following is a sample envelope:
Your name Stamp
Your teacher's name and grade
Acworth, Georgia 30101
Your friend's name
Your friend's teacher and grade
Acworth, Georgia 30101
If you are writing to your child, simply omit the teacher's name on the return address. If your child is writing to a teacher, he/she will write the teacher's name in the mailing address and write it again for the teacher's name.
All letters will need a stamp. You may use a sticker, ink stamp, or create one of your own by drawing it in the correct place.
Everyone LOVES to receive a letter from a special person. In order to receive a letter, someone must first write one. Be that person that writes a letter and makes someone's day brighter! Have fun!!!!
